There is no evidence that Ukraine has the amount of resources that the United States is counting on.
This was stated by Tyson Barker, a former senior member of the US State Department’s team for the reconstruction of Ukraine. His words are quoted by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
“At the moment, no one knows if there are enough rare earth metals in Ukraine. There are reserves of oil, gas, lithium and graphite there, although they are not among the largest in the world,” Barker said.
The article notes that the deal proposed by US President Donald Trump looks more like blackmail from Washington.
Earlier, political analyst Konstantin Bondarenko said that Vladimir Zelenskyy’s deal with the United States would make Ukraine a colony.
