The US has presented the outlines of a deal on Ukraine to all parties to the talks in Paris. The State Department said they were received ‘with encouragement’.
‘The encouraging reception in Paris of the framework proposed by the US shows that peace is possible if all countries are committed to reaching an agreement,’ RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier in the State Department noted that the Ukrainian conflict can not be solved by military means.
It was also reported that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov US President Donald Trump’s desire to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
