Axios: Trump is willing to make concessions for a deal with Iran

US President Donald Trump is seeking a deal with Iran over its nuclear programme, for which he is probably willing to make compromises.

This information is quoted by Axios portal, citing US officials, according to whom Trump is ready to make concessions to conclude the deal.

“…If the initial talks on Saturday are successful, direct talks between (US Presidential Special Envoy Steve) Whitkoff and (Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas) Araqchi could take place later that day or on Sunday,” the publication says.

Earlier, Whitkoff admitted that the US might make concessions in negotiations with Iran. He also noted that the red line of the Trump administration will be to prevent Tehran from creating nuclear weapons.
