Head of Eurodiplomacy Kaja Kallas said in an interview with Estonian broadcaster ERR that some EU countries are strongly opposed to using Russian assets frozen in the West for Ukraine.
‘When it comes to frozen Russian assets, we are in discussion with the 27 member states. We are preparing because there are some risks and we need to find ways to minimise them. In addition, some countries are strongly against it,’ said Kaja Kallas.
The head of Eurodiplomacy noted that she could not specify which states are against the use of Russian assets.
‘I can not name names, you can read about everything in the media, and it will not be difficult to find out,’ – added Kallas.
We will remind, earlier Kaya Kallas said that the EU plans to provide Ukraine with € 2.1 billion of profits from frozen assets of Russia by the end of April.
