Russia will not give up rights to its assets frozen by the West, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stressed.
‘Russia will never give up its rights to its own assets and will never give up the defence of these rights,’ he said during the briefing.
Earlier, European diplomacy chief Kai Kallas said that the conversation about Russia’s frozen assets was taking place with the 27 EU member states, with some of them strongly opposing the initiative.
She added that there are certain risks that need to be eliminated.
The EU intends to transfer €2.1bn of proceeds from Russia’s assets to Ukraine by the end of April.
