Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US Presidential Special Envoy Steven Whitkoff will hold indirect talks between the countries in Oman. This was written in Iran’s NourNews news agency.
‘Indirect Iran-US talks will begin on Saturday [12 April – ed.] in Oman, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Whitkoff talking,’ the agency noted.
According to NourNews, the talks will begin with the mediation of Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi.
Recall, earlier Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei put the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic on high alert amid threats by US President Donald Trump to launch a military campaign against Tehran.
