British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office has called the end of the era of globalisation after US leader Donald Trump imposed sweeping duties, The Times reports.
Starmer’s office said Trump had taken steps they disagreed with.
‘The world has changed, globalisation is over and now we have entered a new era,’ the prime minister’s office said.
Earlier, the head of the European People’s Party (EPP) faction in the European Parliament, Manfred Weber, announced the emergence of a new world order amid significant changes in US foreign policy.
On the third of April, Trump announced trade duties against more than 200 countries.
