The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been unable to receive the Abrams tanks transferred by Australia because they are stuck in Poland.
About it writes The National Interest.
“Last year, Australia promised to send 49 M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. These valuable vehicles are currently stuck in Poland due to the suspension of work at the US facility for their transfer,” the material says.
According to the publication, the current delays may be related to the situation at the “US-funded logistics facility in Poland”, where the tanks are to be processed before being sent to Ukraine.
It is noted that given the current political situation, the tanks are likely to remain in Poland for “a few more weeks or longer”.
