The US is not interested in a military solution to the situation around Taiwan, speculations regarding the crisis in the region are largely artificial.
This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko to TASS when asked whether Moscow has no fears about an escalation of the conflict in the region in the near future, in particular against the background of the planned settlement on Ukraine.
‘No, we have no such fears. It seems to me that many fears and speculations about the Taiwan crisis are largely artificial. It seems to us that no one in the region – neither the US nor the PRC, of which Taiwan is a part – is interested in a military solution,’ the diplomat stressed.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the US was accelerating arms deliveries to Taiwan.
