United States President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office of the White House, said the country needs Greenland for national and international security.
“We need It. We have to have it. It’s an island that defensively and even offensively is exactly what we need, especially with the way the world is right now. And we’re going to have to get it,” Donald Trump said.
He emphasised that the island would help “deter threats” from China and Russia.
“If you look at the ships off the coast of Greenland – it’s China, Russia. We have to be there. If we are not there, we can not talk about national or international security”, – added Trump.
We will remind, earlier the Chairman of the party Erik Jensen said that the party “Forward” plans to hold a popular vote on independence from Denmark.
