US plans to conclude ceasefire in Ukraine by 20 April – Bloomberg

The USA wants to conclude a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine by 20 April, but the White House admits that the date may be pushed back. The Bloomberg news agency quoted its sources as saying.

“The White House is aiming for a truce agreement by April 20 <…>, according to people familiar with the plans, but there acknowledged that the timeline could shift because of major differences in the positions of both sides,” Bloomberg wrote.

According to the agency, the United States hopes a ceasefire can be reached in the next few weeks.

In Bloomberg noted that US President Donald Trump is not ready to make major concessions on the issue of Ukraine, as he believes that any solution must be acceptable to Kiev.
