According to the publication, the Americans are also interested in other energy infrastructure, including a Rosneft subsidiary in Germany, which owns a 54 per cent stake in the Schwedt refinery and parts of other refineries in southern Germany.
It is noted that negotiations on the deal are being conducted in secret. They involve the office of German Chancellor Scholz and the German Finance Ministry. At the same time, the German Foreign Ministry is excluded from the process.
