US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the Ukrainian side insisted on the visit of a delegation to Washington despite warnings. This was reported by the CNN television channel.
“The Ukrainian side insisted on coming, although there was a clear understanding: ‘don’t come here and create a scenario where you’re going to lecture us on how diplomacy works’,” Marco Rubio said.
Rubio emphasised that Volodymyr Zelenskyy “went in that direction anyway” and it ended with a “predictable result”.
