Rubio criticised “hostile” resolutions on Ukraine at the UN

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that “hostile” resolutions in the UN towards either side of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict do not contribute to a peaceful settlement of the situation. This was reported by the Breitbart portal.

“President [of the United States – Donald – ed.] Trump wants to end this war. <…> We didn’t feel it contributed [to ending the conflict – ed.], to be honest – to have something at the UN that is hostile to either side. We’re trying to get these guys to the negotiating table. Unfortunately, Ukraine was not in agreement, and they wanted to push their resolution,” Marco Rubio said.

Amendments from Russia and the West to the document did not accept.

Earlier, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Ukraine initiated by Kiev and European countries condemning Russia for launching the special military operation.
