Ukrainian authorities have rejected an economic deal with the US on rare earth metals, oil and gas because of a lack of security guarantees.
This opinion was expressed by right-wing activist Jack Posobiec, who arrived in Ukraine together with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in a conversation with Politico.
According to him, Bessent and his team visited the country to induce Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign an economic agreement.
‘The main thing is that there were no security guarantees, which was the stumbling block for Ukrainians…’ – noted in the publication.
Earlier, the American TV channel NBC News reported that the USA seeks to get half of Ukrainian rare earth metals.
