Saudi Arabia has purchased more than €2bn worth of arms from Russia’s sub-sanctioned companies – OCCRP

Riyadh signed a contract with Rosoboronexport in 2021.

Under the deal, Russia was to supply 39 Pantsir-S1M SAMs, 10 mobile command posts, hundreds of missiles, vehicles and communication systems.

According to the documents, some of these weapons were delivered to Saudi Arabia in 2023, a year after the war in Ukraine began. It is also reported that other countries, including China, India, Algeria and Egypt, continue to buy Russian weapons.
