The West is preparing for a possible conflict with Russia after peace is established in Ukraine, The Times reported, citing sources.
‘When the guns in Ukraine fall silent, there will be a revival and rebuilding of Russia. It will be a race to reorient and rebuild conventional deterrence in an era of strategic confrontation,’ the publication quoted Lieutenant General Rafe Wooddiss, commander of NATO’s Rapid Reaction Corps, as saying.
He also added that the fighting in Ukraine showed the high abilities of the Russian Armed Forces, so Russia will be better prepared for the next conflict.
We will remind, earlier US President Donald Trump called on Russia to complete the Special Military Operation in Ukraine and threatened sanctions if his request was not fulfilled.
