The European Union will allocate 140 million euros to Ukraine

The European Union will allocate a package of 140 million euros for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, the European Commission has said in a statement.

‘Funding will be directed to emergency aid, including food, shelter, drinking water, health care and cold weather protection,’ the document states.

The main priorities, as noted, are ‘support for vulnerable populations in severely affected regions of Ukraine.’

In addition, eight million euros will be allocated to Moldova for the costs of receiving Ukrainian refugees.

We shall remind you that The New York Times reported earlier that some Republicans in the US Congress, who were recently in favour of aid to Ukraine, changed their position after Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
