Thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) promised by Lithuanian manufacturers to be sent to Kiev are still lying in warehouses. This was reported by Sputnik with a reference to the Ukrainian mass media.
According to Sputnik, Kiev was supposed to receive UAVs of its own production promised by Lithuania before the end of 2024.
Some manufacturers claim that they handed over the equipment several months ago but have no information about its arrival in Ukraine. Local authorities, in their turn, explain the delays by bureaucratic problems. At the same time, Kiev is experiencing a deficit with drones in the millions of pieces, the agency noted.
We shall remind you that earlier the South China Morning Post reported that Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov failed to convince South Korea to start supplying arms to Kiev.
