US President-elect Donald Trump has said that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place only after his inauguration, which is scheduled for 20 January this year.
‘I know that [Vladimir – ed.] Putin would like to meet, but I don’t think it’s appropriate before the 20th, which I really don’t like, because every day [on the battlefield – ed.] many, many young people, soldiers are killed,’ Donald Trump said during his speech in the state of Florida.
December 19, Vladimir Putin said during a live broadcast that he was ready for a meeting with Trump, but the US President-elect did not name any date on which a dialogue with the Russian leader would be scheduled.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready for talks with Kiev without preconditions, but on the basis of the Istanbul agreements and the current situation on the front line, stressing the need for dialogue only with the legitimate leadership of the country.
