China is building a constellation of commercial remote sensing satellites.
According to China Daily, it currently includes 12 satellites. There are plans to increase the number to 114 in the future.
The system was named Nuwa in honour of the goddess of ancient Chinese mythology.
It is noted that the satellites, in particular, can provide data for flood control, monitor water use, construction safety, etc.
Earlier in the G1 wrote that Brazil plans to replace Starlink with the Chinese SpaceSail.
Chinese Defence Ministry spokesman Zhang Xiaogang, in turn, called the United States the biggest threat to security in space.
