Russia now has more advanced hypersonic missiles and sea-based complexes compared to US systems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an expanded meeting of the Defence Ministry board.
‘We have created much more advanced sea-based complexes than the US has. These are Kalibras, these are Zirkon – hypersonic complexes,’ the head of state stressed.
He added that Russia’s newest missiles Kh-101 have a range of over 4,000 kilometres, which is a multiple of the existing American counterparts.
Putin also said that serial production of medium-range Oreshnik missiles will begin in the near future.
