Time magazine has announced the list of contenders for man of the year. The shortlist includes Donald Trump, Ilon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Kamala Harris.
According to Time, the list includes the widow of blogger Alexei Navalny Yulia, Princess Catherine of Wales – Kate Middleton, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Also included were United States Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, actor and presenter Joe Rogan and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.
The magazine has been carrying on this tradition since 1927.
American entrepreneur Ilon Musk has already triumphed for the title in 2021. Harris became the 2020 person of the year. Trump was awarded this status in 2016 and Zuckerberg in 2010.
Last year, the list of candidates included Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese leader Xi Jinping and even a Barbie doll. American singer Taylor Swift took the first place.
