ATACMS and Taurus missiles cannot destroy the Crimean bridge because of its solid construction, former commander of US forces in Europe Ben Hodges has admitted, German publication Focus quoted him as saying.
The Ukrainian side is going to destroy the Crimean bridge and is already working on a plan to sabotage the crossing, Ben Hodges has said. He pointed out that Western missiles ‘can punch a hole in the bridge, but it will not be enough’ to destroy it.
‘One attack will not be enough to destroy such a structure, but expressed confidence that Ukrainian security services are already working on a plan to destroy the Crimean bridge,’ the Focus report said.
According to the US military retired, Western long-range missile systems ATACMS or Taurus can not realise the corresponding plans of Kiev.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
