Medvedev: Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons only distances negotiations

Kiev’s use of long-range weapons to strike Russian territory only distances possible negotiations.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev made this statement in an interview with Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya.

‘This will not remain without consequences. This applies, naturally, to the negotiations … and such events only alienate them. But it also concerns the overall situation,’ RIA Novosti quoted the politician as saying.

At the same time, Medvedev emphasised that the negotiations ‘are still a long way off’.

Earlier, he said that the Russian authorities are not crazy and do not want to use nuclear weapons.
