Russia’s newest medium-range Oreshnik missile, which hit Yuzhmash in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, delivered all warheads to the target, Forbes writes.
‘It seems that it delivered all warheads. Telemetry – altitude and speed – indicated it was a ballistic missile,’ notes columnist David Axe.
According to him, the weapon was initially mistaken for an intercontinental ballistic missile, but it later turned out to be an intermediate-range ballistic missile.
On 21 November, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Russia had conducted a live test of an Oreshnik missile in response to NATO.
According to the head of state, the strike was carried out in Dnipropetrovsk at Yuzhmash, where the production of, among other things, missile equipment is organised.
