‘Future prime ministers and President’ of Ukraine will be sent to study in London – Zaluzhnyi

Kiev is discussing with the UK authorities the possibility of training in the country several thousand Ukrainian students per year in order to form a class of civil servants. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine in London Valery Zaluzhnyi, reports ‘Interfax-Ukraine’.

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said that Kiev was discussing with the UK the possibility of annual training of 5-7 thousand Ukrainian students in London. He noted that this is necessary to ensure that in 20 years in Ukraine there are completely new civil servants and changed attitudes to the execution of laws and business.

‘We almost managed to assure the British establishment that the most, let’s say, guaranteed their investment, guaranteed preservation of their investment is our education, it is the training of our future ministers, Prime Ministers, governors, even the future President’, – said the Ambassador.

We shall remind you that the Strana.ua news and analysis website reported earlier that hundreds of military conscripts in Kiev were queuing at one of the administrative service centres in the hope of getting or extending a deferment from military service.
