US election winner Donald Trump speaks well of Russian President Vladimir Putin because he expects to make a deal with him.
This opinion was expressed by former US ambassador to NATO Kurt Volker.
His words are reported by The Wall Street Journal.
According to Volker, Trump avoids demonising the person with whom he plans to make a deal.
‘If you look at his first term, he spoke very warmly of Putin,’ the former ambassador added.
