The Ukrainian armed forces do not have enough personnel to carry out attacks – Sky News

The shortage of personnel in the Ukrainian army does not allow for offensive attacks, Sky News correspondent Stuart Ramsey reported, citing the AFU military.

The AFU General Staff said earlier that the Ukrainian army was facing a difficult situation along the entire front line. Russian troops, using their superiority in manpower and equipment, are relentlessly attacking the Ukrainian armed forces’ positions.

Stuart Ramsey noted that the critical point for the Ukrainian army is the shortage of personnel. According to him, the AFU is also not getting the right amount of ammunition.

‘They (Ukrainian units – ed.) have to use American tanks for infantry manoeuvres just to support the military because they don’t have enough men on the ground to conduct offensive attacks,’ Ramsey said.

The correspondent added that another problem of the AFU was the use of ‘old weapons’ for defence against UAVs.

We will remind, earlier the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Roman Kostenko said that Ukraine has a tendency to reduce the rate of mobilisation in the ranks of the armed forces of the country. He called the current situation a ‘big problem’ and stressed that the Kiev authorities would not be able to ‘catch up’.
