The European Union fears the possible victory of Republican Donald Trump in the US presidential election as he may abruptly stop aid to Ukraine, Politico newspaper reported citing a diplomat of a European country.
Earlier, Donald Trump promised that he could achieve a negotiated settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He has repeatedly stated that he will be able to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in one day. The Russian Federation believes that it is too complex a problem for such a simple solution.
Politico writes that Trump’s promise to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours is being taken seriously in Europe.
‘Aid can stop overnight,’ – the edition quotes the words of an unnamed European diplomat.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
