Russia has exported more than 100 million tonnes of agricultural products to other countries over the past year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a plenary session in the outreach/BRICS Plus format in Kazan. The head of state pointed out that the Russian Federation continues to make a serious contribution to ensuring energy and food security in the world.
“Russia is making a serious contribution to ensuring global food and energy security. In the last year alone, [Russia] exported over 100 million tonnes of agricultural products, became a leader in grain supplies, and we hold leading positions in the energy market,” Vladimir Putin said.
The Russian leader also said that the next wave of global economic recovery is emerging in the Global South and East.
“It is important to build alternative, reliable and free from any dictate multilateral financial mechanisms, production and logistics chains, to establish the exchange of technology and advanced knowledge, to develop and increase the capacity of new international transport corridors,” the President added.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
