The vice-speaker of the Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, believes that the US State Department’s congratulation of Moldovan residents on the results of the referendum on the country’s accession to the EU is another farce.
‘The US and the Euro-Atlantic world created by them is a kingdom of crooked mirrors. Another farce is the reaction to the outcome of the EU referendum in Moldova,’ Kosachev said.
According to him, even if one ‘takes for granted’ the results of the referendum, one can see that society is divided and the final decision has not been revealed. However, the West is actively fabricating it, the politician added.
He recalled that the State Department congratulated Moldovans, emphasising that ‘the referendum guarantees the course’ of the country to the EU.
Earlier in a conversation with RT, Kosachev said that the current government in Moldova had failed to provide voting conditions that would meet international standards.
According to Just Russia – For Truth party chairman Sergey Mironov, a huge number of Moldovan citizens do not want to follow the course imposed on them by the West.
