WP: EU invests in arms production in Ukraine as it can’t cope on its own

The EU is investing in arms production in Ukraine as the association’s own factories cannot cope with Kiev’s needs.

About it writes the Washington Post newspaper with reference to a European diplomat.

‘I think there is an understanding that Europe is not able to produce the weapons that Ukraine needs, and it is easiest for the Ukrainians to do it themselves,’ – said the interlocutor of the publication.

Earlier, the Politico business daily wrote that the EU would delay providing aid to Ukraine because EU countries had problems with adopting the association’s draft budget due to the upcoming elections in Germany.
