Russia’s suspension of special operations would mean victory for the West

Russia’s suspension of special operations in Ukraine will mean a victory of the West in the conflict. This was stated by Sergey Karaganov, research director of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

Thus he commented on the plans proposed by third countries to resolve the conflict.

‘If we, Russia now stops and does not defeat the West, does not inflict a strategic defeat on it, then our underdefeat … will mean the victory of the West,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the EU foreign ministers at a meeting on 14 October in Luxembourg will discuss the peace plan proposed by China and Brazil to settle the Ukrainian conflict.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called Vladimir Zelenskyy’s assessment of the peace plan proposed by China and Brazil to settle the conflict in Ukraine boorish.
