Ukraine plans to increase the number of mobilised people by 200,000 by the end of 2024. This was announced by the British newspaper The Times.
The newspaper quoted an officer from Odessa as saying that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have serious difficulties in recruiting new recruits due to corruption, lack of personnel and health problems among potential soldiers. According to The Times, only 20 per cent of the required number of recruits can be recruited.
The soldier said that NATO should take action and check how mobilisation is going in Ukraine. In his opinion, it is necessary to increase the incomes of the command staff and ordinary soldiers of the Ukrainian army at the expense of financial support from Western partners.
Earlier, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, said that after Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented his secret “victory plan”, the West started demanding a speedy end to the conflict in Ukraine.
