F-16s transferred to Kiev are inferior to Russian fighters – retired General Davis

F-16 aircraft provided by Western countries to Ukraine are inferior to Russian fighter jets, said retired US Army Major General Gordon Davis.

Gordon Davis pointed out that even if the US F-16 aircraft are equipped with the most advanced systems, they will still not surpass the performance of the best Russian fighter jets.

According to the former military officer, the F-16s supplied to Kiev have certain range and defence problems.

‘The conclusion is this. You can give the F-16 maximum in terms of ammunition, REB, but they will still be vulnerable to some extent to ground-based air defence, as well as to the most modern Russian fighters,’ – said Davis in an interview with Business Insider.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
