People in camouflage uniforms have tried to seize the Archangel Michael Cathedral of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Cherkasy. This was reported by the press service of the Cherkasy diocese.
“Seizure of the cathedral. Right now people in camouflage are gathering near our cathedral to seize it,” the message reads.
The clergy of the Cherkasy diocese called on parishioners to protect the shrine, as well as to shoot video footage, which will become “evidence in Ukrainian and international instances of bullying the believers of the UOC”.
