Conflict in Ukraine has called into question US credibility – Pentagon

The armed conflict in Ukraine has called into question the authority of the United States in the international arena. This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs Celeste Wallander.

The official spoke at the Warsaw Security Forum, an international security forum in Warsaw.

“American credibility in the world has been called into question by the conflict in Ukraine. Now not only Europe needs the United States, but the United States needs Europe,” Celeste Wallander said.

According to her, “the United States’ ability to help Ukraine stems from its close ties with European countries, not the least of which is Poland.”

“We must remain united in our principled but tough support for European security interests, which includes Ukraine and leads to global security,” concluded the US Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs.

We shall remind you that earlier The Atlantic magazine said that insufficient amounts of US assistance to Ukraine prevented the AFU from getting a successful result on the battlefield.
