Russia’s response to the preemptive strike on its territory being discussed by some NATO countries will leave these states with only a “wet spot”.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, speaking about the reaction of the West to the updated nuclear doctrine and the relevant statements of some countries.
“When such statements are made, people should take into account only one thing: in the case of … the use of tactical nuclear weapons by Russia in relation to individual states that allow themselves such statements, they will just be a wet spot,” he said in an interview with TASS.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called Russia’s update of its nuclear doctrine “irresponsible”.
