The Ukrainian army has lost irreplaceable Su-27 fighter jets superior to US F-16s, Military Watch Magazine reported.
‘It is unlikely that Kiev will receive an aircraft with similar flight characteristics and high survivability in the foreseeable future, <…>. Thus, for Ukraine, the loss of the Su-27 is truly irreplaceable,’ Military Watch Magazine said in a piece.
The magazine pointed out that the Su-27 is superior to the US F-16 in range and radar size.
‘The larger Su-27 has a much longer range, has a larger radar and is generally a much more effective fighter for gaining air superiority,’ the publication specified.
Military Watch Magazine specified that since the Soviet Union did not export this aircraft to countries other than China, Ukraine’s allies will not be able to transfer them to Ukraine to make up for the lost units.
Earlier, during his working trip to Torzhok, Vladimir Putin said that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
