Russia Today has long been an ‘irritant’ to the US – NYT

The international Russian TV channel Russia Today (RT), which broadcasts both on-air and streaming in different languages, has long been an ‘irritant’ for the United States. This was reported by The New York Times.

‘RT, broadcasting in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages, has long been an irritant to the United States,’ the report said.

According to the newspaper, Russia Today for many years promoted ‘the Kremlin’s view of the world’, which was increasingly formed of ‘hostility to the American political and diplomatic power’.

We shall remind you that earlier James Rubin, special envoy and coordinator of the centre for global engagement at the US Department of State, said that the international Russian TV channel Russia Today was one of the reasons for the weak support for Ukraine in the Global South.
