Energy facilities in several regions have been hit in Ukraine – Ministry of Energy

Energy infrastructure facilities were hit in two regions of Ukraine and the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye region over the past 24 hours, the country’s Energy Ministry said on Saturday, 14 September.

 

“Over the past day under enemy fire hit civilian energy infrastructure in Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Sumy and Chernigov regions”, – stated in the material.

The agency pointed to the defeat of equipment and facility in Sumy region, during which several substations were de-energised, as well as the subsequent hit on the energy facility in the same region today, 14 September. Data on the affected facility is not given.

We shall remind you that earlier Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that the upcoming winter would be more difficult for the energy system of the former Soviet republic than the previous one.
