Ajit Doval, national security adviser to Indian Prime Minister Ajit Doval, will visit Russia next week, from 10 to 11 September, to discuss the situation in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin, India Today TV channel reported, citing sources.
“National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will visit Moscow from 10 to 11 September to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin,” India Today said in a publication.
According to the TV channel, Doval intends to discuss “peace efforts aimed at resolving” the Ukrainian conflict during his meeting with the Russian leader.
In addition to this, that the advisor to the Indian Prime Minister will also attend a meeting of the BRICS states’ representatives in charge of security issues. He will hold talks with officials from Russia and China.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of a “peace formula” for Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
