The Russian Armed Forces liberated Zavetnoye in the DNR

Units of Russia’s Center group of troops have taken control of the Zavetnoye settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.

 

‘As a result of active actions by units of the Centre group of troops, the settlement of Zavetnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic has been liberated,’ the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.

In addition, units of the ‘Southern’ grouping of Russian troops have eliminated up to 745 AFU servicemen and three field ammunition depots just in the past 24 hours.

‘The AFU lost up to 745 servicemen, three pickup trucks, two 152-mm D-20 guns, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, three 105-mm L-119 howitzers manufactured by the UK, two electronic warfare stations and three field ammunition depots,’ the defence ministry pointed out.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation destroyed: 642 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 31044 unmanned aerial vehicles, 575 anti-aircraft missile systems, 17822 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1435 combat vehicles of multiple rocket launchers, 14091 field artillery and mortars, 25584 units of special military vehicles.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
