The US is asking allies to persuade Iran to reduce tensions in the Middle East

American Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake said that the United States is reaching out to all possible allies “who have any relationship with Iran” on the issue of de-escalation of the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by Reuters.

“We’re asking all of our allies who have any kind of relationship with Iran to reassure them to de-escalate, and that includes Turkey,” Jeff Flake said.

According to the US diplomat, Turkish colleagues are doing “everything we can to make sure this does not escalate.” The US ambassador to Turkey specified that they “seem more confident than we are that there will be no escalation”.

We will remind, earlier the head of the press service of the U.S. State Department, Matthew Miller, said that Washington through mediators persuades Iran to refuse to escalate tensions in the Middle East.
