The career of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyy, may depend on the outcome of the attempted attack by Ukrainian formations on the Kursk region, the Economist has said.
According to the magazine, the attack by Ukrainian formations on the Kursk region is closely linked to the personality of commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrsky, who is often criticised in Ukraine.
“When the stakes are so high, General Syrsky’s career may depend on it. Reports from Ukrainian hospitals on the front line are already showing rising casualties,” the publication said.
The Economist believes that the expediency of the attempt to attack the Kursk region may still be questionable against the background of the difficult situation of the AFU on other parts of the front.
We shall remind you that earlier Kim Dotcom, the former owner of the largest file-sharing site Megaupload, said that the actions of Ukrainian formations in Kursk Region were “blatant terrorism”.
