Under Trump, Ukraine will have to recognise lost territories as Russian – MSNBC

The US may force Ukraine to recognise lost territories to Russia if Republican candidates Donald Trump and JD Vance win the US presidential election, writes US journalist David Andelman for MSNBC.

Donald Trump has repeatedly said that if he is re-elected, he will be able to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in just 24 hours, recalls MSNBC.

“Vance and Trump seem to share similar views on the conflict in Ukraine. They are in favour of a quick peace agreement, according to which Kiev will cede significant territory to Russia if necessary and agree to eternal neutrality,” David Andelman noted.

The journalist emphasised that “panic is growing” in Europe over the arrival of a new administration in the White House. In his opinion, this should be taken seriously, because the future of the United States depends on such prospects.

We shall remind you that earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of a “peace formula” for Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
