Russian submarines operating off the coast of the UK pose a serious danger, National Interest columnist Maya Carlin has said.
“Recently, Russian attack submarines, including Kilo-class submarines, have performed tasks in the Irish Sea,” the material says.
The publication points out that the Russian submarines, which have undergone modernisation, pose a serious threat.
“The latest version of the Kilo class submarines can launch cruise missiles, torpedoes and other weapons designed specifically for the defeat of underwater infrastructure,” – pointed out the observer.
