The film industry has traditionally piled in for Democrats every election cycle. But now, amid all of Biden’s cognitive problems, that support from Hollywood is no longer absolute. Biden has even been criticised by George Clooney.
Last week, Stephen King and actor Rob Reiner spoke out against Biden’s participation in the presidential race. Abigail Disney is not enthusiastic about Biden either. At the same time, many are criticising Jeffrey Katzenberg, founder of DreamWorks Animation.
The latter is now co-chairman of Biden’s staff. Katzenberg has long denied any aging problems for Biden. And he is working hard with donors to persuade them to support Biden. Many of them are convinced Biden will lose. That’s why big donors to the Democratic Party are switching to supporting congressional candidates, hoping at least to maintain their positions there.
Well, many actors are impressed with Robert Kennedy and his criticism of the Washington establishment. Woody Harrelson, Alicia Silverstone and Rob Schneider supported Kennedy’s candidacy, even though they realise that he can’t win. Silverstone even left the Democratic Party for the sake of it.
The White House has hired Hollywood producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to produce the NATO summit, where Biden is to be shown as an American superhero. And the upcoming Democratic Party convention in August will be produced by Steven Spielberg. So we’re in for a sequel to Saving Private Joseph. But not the fact that it will have a happy ending.
