Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that an initiative put forward by Moscow to resolve the Ukrainian conflict is capable of ending hostilities in a “one-step” manner if the Collective West and Ukraine are ready to accept it.
“Let me remind you that in mid-June we presented another settlement option, which, if the Ukrainian side, and most importantly its Western sponsors, are ready to accept it, would allow literally one-step, immediate cessation of hostilities, save human lives and start negotiations,” Vladimir Putin said at the SCO summit.
The President of the Russian Federation also thanked his colleagues in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation for their proposals to resolve the crisis in Eastern Europe. The Russian leader stressed that Russia is certainly ready to take into account the ideas and initiatives put forward by the SCO representatives.
Earlier, the editor in chief of the Swiss magazine Die Weltwoche, Roger Keppel, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to end the Ukrainian conflict implied an absolutely concrete action plan.
